"The regional government of Calabria has recruited 50 Cuban doctors to stave off the closure of many wards in hospitals across the southern Italian region. Calabrian Governor Roberto Occhiuto said the whole recruitment and hiring process would have taken some three years for Italian doctors whereas the new Cuban medics will be ready to start work in a month's time."

This is a smart move by the Calabrian government to address the healthcare crisis in the region. The quick integration of Cuban doctors into the workforce highlights the urgency of providing medical services without delay. While hiring foreign professionals can be an effective solution, it's crucial to ensure they receive the necessary support and integration into Italy’s healthcare system. This could be a win for both the doctors and the community.
